New Releases

In Theaters:

  • The 33 – In 2010, the eyes of the world turned to Chile, where 33 miners had been buried alive by the catastrophic explosion and collapse of a 100-year-old gold and copper mine. Over the next 69 days, an international team worked night and day in a desperate attempt to rescue the trapped men as their families and friends, as well as millions of people globally, waited and watched anxiously for any sign of hope. But 200 stories beneath the surface, in the suffocating heat and with tensions rising, provisions—and time—were quickly running out.
  • Love the Coopers – When four generations of the Cooper clan come together for their annual Christmas Eve celebration, a series of unexpected visitors and unlikely events turn the night upside down, leading them all toward a surprising rediscovery of family bonds and the spirit of the holiday.
  • By the Sea – Roland (Brad Pitt), an American writer, and his wife, Vanessa (Angelina Jolie), arrive in a tranquil and picturesque seaside resort in 1970s France, their marriage in apparent crisis. As they spend time with fellow travelers, including young newlyweds Lea (Melanie Laurent) and François (Melvil Poupaud) and village locals Michel (Niels Arestrup) and Patrice (Richard Bohringer), the couple begins to come to terms with unresolved issues in their own lives.
  • Entertainment – A broken, aging comedian tours the California desert, lost in a cycle of third-rate venues, novelty tourist attractions, and vain attempts to reach his estranged daughter. By day, he slogs through the barren landscape, inadvertently alienating every acquaintance. At night, he seeks solace in the animation of his onstage persona. Fueled by the promise of a lucrative Hollywood engagement, he trudges through a series of increasingly surreal and volatile encounters

Music:

  • Montage Of Heck: The Home Recordings by Kurt Cobain – The soundtrack to the Brett Morgen documentary of the same name features early solo recordings by Cobain culled from 108 cassettes, some of which became Nirvana songs. A deluxe version features demos, spoken word and additional full songs.
  • Paper Mâché Dream Balloon by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard – The Australian psychedelic garage band’s second release in 2015 is an acoustic album recorded mainly at frontman Stu Mackenzie’s family farm.
  • Highly Deadly Black Tarantula by Teeth of the Sea – This is the fourth full-length release for the British experimental/post-rock group.
  • Black Record by Rocket from the Tombs – This is the second full-length studio release for the new-lineup of the Cleveland proto-punk band.
