  • The Hallow – When London conservationist Adam (Joseph Mawle) and his wife Clare (Bojana Novakovic) move with their infant son to a remote house near the Irish forest, they quickly find their new neighbors unwelcoming. The discovery of a gruesome “zombie fungus” growing in the house is just the beginning, as the surrounding woods spew forth a terrifying array of folkloric banshees, baby snatchers, and demons.

In this tumultuous emotional time, we are introduced to the personifications of Riley’s emotions. We are then take on an adventure through her mind and memories as Riley works though how to deal with all the changes in her life.
  • Digging for Fire – Blu/DVD – A married couple is struggling with life. The decide to spend a weekend apart to try to sort some things out. The film tackles the challenges of commitment, parenthood, and a corpse in the back yard.
  • The End of the Tour – Blu/DVD – This film is an adaptation of David Lipspy’s Although Of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself, a memoir of the book tour he did in 1996 for Infinite Jest. On the tour he had his friend David Foster Wallace, and the film examines their relationship, including their differing levels of fame and talent.
  • Roar – Blu/DVD – This film is very odd. Originally released in 1981 it features Tippi Hedren and Noel Marshall, who also directed the film, and a young Melanie Griffith. In the film they are living in a relatively small space with some of nature’s largest feline predators. Apparently safety was not a primary concern as many of the cast and crew ended up injured. So one has to wonder, “Is it a documentary? A drama? An insanely bad idea?” – Metacritic.
