# New Releases

In Theaters:

1. Draft Day (R)
On the day of the NFL Draft, general manager Sonny Weaver (Kevin Costner) has the opportunity to save football in Cleveland when he trades for the number one pick.
2. Oculus (R)
Ten years ago, tragedy struck the Russell family, leaving the lives of teenage siblings Tim and Kaylie forever changed when Tim was convicted of the brutal murder of their parents. Now in his 20s, Tim is newly released from protective custody and only wants to move on with his life; but Kaylie, still haunted by that fateful night, is convinced her parents’ deaths were caused by something else altogether: a malevolent supernatural force

4. Joe (R)
An ex-con (Nicholas Cage), who is the unlikeliest of role models, meets a 15-year-old boy (Tye Sheridan) and is faced with the choice of redemption or ruin.
5. Cuban Fury (R)
1987: 13-year-old Bruce Garrett, a natural born salsa dancer with fire in his heels and the world at his feet, is perfectly poised to clinch the title at the UK Junior Salsa Championships. But a freakish bullying incident on the mean streets of London robs him of his sequins and his confidence, and our young hero finds his life diverted down a very different path.

1. Music for Robots [EP] – Squarepusher
The five track EP for the electronic producer came about after he was approached by Kenjiro Matsuo to write music to be performed by actual Japanese robots.
2. Dances in Dreams of the Known and Unknown – The Skull Defekts
This is the 13th studio release for the Swedish rock band led by former Lungfish singer Daniel Higgs.
3. The Future’s Void – EMA
The second full-length release for Erika M. Anderson was produced with Leif Shackleford.
4.Old Fears – School of Language
Field Music’s David Brewis releases his first album under his solo project School Of Language since 2008’s Sea from Shore.

DVD/Blu-Ray:

1. Bad Ass 2: Bad Asses – DVD – The Danny Trejo cult hit gets a sequel, this time the fight gets some new hands, from Danny Glover! This time they’re looking into the death of one the kids that Trejo’s character is teaching to box.
2. Earthflight – DVD – A documentary about the beauty of bird flight. The film features shots from bird mounted cameras along with drones, RC micro planes and paragliders. Plus it’s narrated by David Tennant. Allons-y, birds!
3. Norman – DVD – Norman is just trying to figure out his life and what it means, the story of so many of us in high school. While his life is in turmoil, romance and a willingness to face the challenges help him find his way through.
4. Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones – Blu/DVD – After coming into contact with some implements of black magic Jesse, finds a strange mark on him. Then there seems to be a mysterious force following him.

* Batman Eternal #1 – A new weekly series that looks deeply into the relationship between the Caped Crusader, his allies and the darkest shadows of Gotham. Starting with Jim Gordon on the wrong side of the law. Written by Scott Snyder and others, with art by Jason Fabok

## Marvel:

* Iron Fist – Living Weapon #1 – Danny Rand’s quest for vengeance, which lead him to be Iron Fist, has caught up with him. A mysterious message forces him to revisit the past to atone. Written and drawn by Kaare Andrews

## Dark Horse:

* Star Wars #16 – Ongoing – All seems to be fine, Wedge is training, Luke is on a seemingly routine mission, and Leia is settling in to married life … so if all is well, what is the feeling of uncertainty? Writing by Brian Wood and art by Stephane Crety and Julien Hugonnard-Bert

* Lumberjanes #1 – Five friends come together to take on anything Lumberjane scout camp can throw a them, be it yetis or giant wolves. ## IDW:

* Maxx Maxximized #6 – While wallowing in self-pity Maxx finds himself down the proverbial rabbit hole. There he goes on a strange adventure, meets s young girl that’s somehow related to the Jungle Queen, and then wakes up on the couch where it all started. Written by Sam Kieth and William Messner-Loebs with art by Sam Kieth (not that that should be a surprise) – also how did I miss that The Maxx was going again?

* Manifest Destiny #6 – A flora infestation threatens Lewis and Clark’s outpost will this be the end of their journey? This is the conclusion to the first arc of this ongoing series.
