The party must complete the journey to Lonely Mountain and burglar Baggins must seek out the Secret Door that will give them access to the hoard of the dragon Smaug. If Bilbo and the others are able to gain the treasure, will they be able to keep it? And will they discover what has become of the wizard Gandalf?

Madea dispenses her unique form of holiday spirit on a rural town when she’s coaxed into helping a friend pay her daughter a surprise visit for Christmas.
3. American Hustle
A fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock our nation, American Hustle tells the story of con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his equally cunning and seductive partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Caught between the con-artists and Feds is Carmine Polito (Jeremy Renner), the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator, but it’s Irving’s unpredictable wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence) who could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down.
4. Hours
A father (Paul Walker) struggles to keep his infant daughter alive in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
5. Saving Mr. Banks
When Walt Disney’s daughters begged him to make a movie of their favorite book, P.L. Travers’ Mary Poppins, he made them a promise—one that he didn’t realize would take 20 years to keep. In his quest to obtain the rights, Walt comes up against a curmudgeonly, uncompromising writer who has absolutely no intention of letting her beloved magical nanny get mauled by the Hollywood machine. But, as the books stop selling and money grows short, Travers reluctantly agrees to go to Los Angeles to hear Disney’s plans for the adaptation.
Video Games:
1. Peggle 2 Xbox One
Peggle 2 injects players into the peg-popping vista of the original while delivering an array of new features and functionality. Peggle 2 offers all-new levels, new and improved power-ups, fantastic multiplayer modes, gesture controls with Kinect for Xbox One, the ability to customize the “Peggle Masters” who host the game, and much more.
2. Doki-Doki Universe PS3, PS4, Vita
Doki-Doki Universe is a charming interactive game world that takes you on a journey to explore the concept of humanity. Players will travel to uniquely themed planets and asteroids to meet some of the most bizarre characters in an effort to learn more about them, and hopefully, learn a little bit more about themselves along the way
3. Samurai Gunn PC, Vita
Samurai Gunn is a 2-4 Player local multiplayer game. Each player is armed with a sword and gun, with only 3 bullets to a life. Both swords and bullets can be deflected with clever control and timing. Levels range from thick bamboo forests that can be hacked through, to vertically-looping cliffs and caverns which bear walls that can be sharpened to deadly points.
4. The Novelist PC
The Novelist asks one central question: can you achieve your dreams without pushing away the people you love? The game focuses on Dan Kaplan, a novelist struggling to write the most important book of his career while trying to be the best husband and father he can be. The Kaplans have come to a remote coastal home for the summer, unaware that they’re sharing the house with a mysterious ghostly presence: you.
5. Wii Fit U
Wii Fit U is a new installment in the Wii Fit series that combines fun and fitness with new exercises and activities, and incorporates the GamePad in unique ways.

DVD/Blu-ray:
1. Despicable Me 2 – Blu/DVD – From Super villain to super dad, Gru, and Minions in tow, has been recruited by the Anti-Villain League to save the world.
2. Fast & Furious 6 – Blu/DVD – Picking up shortly after Fast Five, this reunites Dom and crew to take on another driving team, that has plans that could destablize the world. Oh and a tank … yeah there’s a chase with a tank. It’s popcorn fun, stop fussing about believeability and enjoy it.
3.The Hunt – Blu/DVD – A chilling story about how how lies and mistrust destroy a man’s life when gossip turns the small community against him.
4.Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary – Blu/DVD – A mysterious woman shows up at the Bank’s house, to help. She does it in a most unusual way. Joy, magic, and understanding of what is truly important are at the core of this Disney classic. (and I’m an unapologetic fan boy of this movie)
5.The Rooftop – Blu/DVD – A drifter from the rooftops of Galilee, has a chance encounter with a girl that will change his life forever, featuring Taiwaniese pop star Jay Chou, in front and behind the camera. Being a foreign language musical, a trailer is probably in order – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBeaBNy21hg
Comics:
DC:
- Justice League #25 – The Forever Evil arc continues, this time Nightwing is in the sights of the Crime Syndicate
- Justice League 3000 #1 – The League finds themselves far in the future, but what does that mean?
Marvel:
- Uncanny X-men #15 – The Uncanny X-ladies are off for a little R&R. While they’re out the see the effects of Inhumanity.
- Wolverine and the X-Men #39 – The ripples of Battle of the Atom are still pushing out. In this issue it’s Wolverine and Cyclops vs. Sentinals. Hard hats need to be worn in this area.
Not the Big 2:
- WWE #1 – Papercutz/Super Genius – Part 1 of 4 in “Pandemonium Squared”, a story from the mind of Mick Foley and encompassing the WWE pantheon. The superstars find themselves brought into a no holds bared throw down that seems beyond the norm. Will the madness spread? Or is Mr. McMahon going to have to lay down the law.
- The Walking Dead #118 – Image – There’s a new issue of The Walking Dead, you need more than that? Ok, Rick and Maggie are at odds over his latest plan, and all plans are never quite right in All Out War.
- Star Trek Annual 2013 – IDW – Presented by John Byrne, this new “episode” continues the adventures of the original crew of the Enterprise
- Halo: Escalation #1 – Dark Horse – A new ongoing series from the Halo universe. In this issue the UNSC Infinity is protecting a peace delegation, which is good because a rouge group of Covenant have other plans
Web:
http://blindsprings.com/ – A beautifully illustrated story of a girl of the forest. Still early in the story, and the look is amazing. The depth of the story is beginning to hit it’s stride. It’s good.
