Movies:

  • New Releases

  • DVD/Blu-ray

    • Afghan Luke (dvd) – When his story about Canadian snipers possibly mutilating corpses in Afghanistan is buried, Luke gets disheartened and quits his job. However, it makes him all the more determined to return to Afghanistan to get the real story.Through a friend, he’s offered a job by a stoner magazine to write a “gonzo” story about the best hashish in Afghanistan. While there, Luke plans to gather enough evidence to get his old story into print. But he soon finds out Afghanistan is an even more dangerous place than when he left and the trip turns into a surreal and perilous adventure.
    • Astro Zombies: M4 – Invaders from Cyberspace (dvd) – Couldn’t find any synopsis but if the cover pic on IMDB is anything to judge by it looks like it could be low budget fun.
    • Being John Malkovich (blu/dvd) – Criterion Collection release of the off beat 1999 film where a puppetter finds a mysterious door that leads into John Malkovich’s mind, where the visitor takes control.
    • Chronicle (blu/dvd) – A group of teens find a cave which grants them telekinetic powers. After the initial joy of exploration things start to go sideways as one of them turn his power to dark ends.
    • DOA (blu) – Time is running out for Dexter Cornell. He has just 24 hours to unravel the bitter truth surrounding his own poisoning. In his desperate search, everyone’s a suspect, even the woman who loves him.
    • Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (blu) – duo of Fantastic Four movies, sadly they aren’t very good. They aren’t horrible but they aren’t good either.
    • Holy Man (blu) – Eddie Murphy plays a charismatic and unusual holy man who helps revive a flagging home shopping network.
    • Immortality (dvd) – A seductive vampire who always gets what he wants finds his latest conquest to be frustratingly elusive. While that’s not much of a description it stars Jude Law, Jack Davenport, and Timothy Spall.
    • In the Name of the King / Kingdom of Heaven (dvd) – Appears to be a combo pack to unload the In the Name of the King back log off on the unsuspecting.
    • Jean-Claude Van Damme Double Feature (DVD) – Collects The Order with Nowhere to Run. The muscles from Brussles strike back!
    • Kill Bill Double Feature (blu/dvd) – Brings together the two parts of the film back into one package.
    • Predator / Predator 2 (blu) – Two awesome classics in one tidy package.
    • Transporter & Transporter 2 (blu) – Two pack of Jason Statham fun.
    • Woman Knight of Mirror Lake (blu/dvd) – In late-19th century China, Qui Jin was many things: a defiant rebel armed with both blades and guns; a paramilitary leader dedicated to overthrowing an unjust government; a non-conformist who boldly donned men’s attire in spite of tradition; a radical poet whose words inspired the oppressed; a heroic martyr whose views on equality altered history. Her steadfast resolve to improve the plight of women and her bravery in the face of tyranny led her to the executioner – but her determination to topple the status-quo changed a nation forever.
