New Releases

In Theaters:

  • Burnt – Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller).
  • Our Brand is Crisis – A Bolivian presidential candidate failing badly in the polls enlists the firepower of an elite American management team, led by the deeply damaged but still brilliant strategist “Calamity” Jane Bodine (Sandra Bullock). In self-imposed retirement following a scandal that earned her nickname and rocked her to her core, Jane is coaxed back into the game for the chance to beat her professional nemesis, the loathsome Pat Candy (Billy Bob Thornton), now coaching the opposition.
  • Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse – Three scouts and lifelong friends join forces with one badass cocktail waitress to become the world’s most unlikely team of heroes. When their peaceful town is ravaged by a zombie invasion, they’ll fight for the badge of a lifetime and put their scouting skills to the test to save mankind from the undead.
  • The Wonders – A family of beekeepers living in stark isolation in the Tuscan countryside are disrupted by the simultaneous arrival of a silently troubled teenaged boy taken in as a farmhand and a reality TV show intent on showcasing the family. Both intrusions are of particular interest to the eldest daughter, Gelsomina (Maria Alexandra Lungu), who is struggling to find her footing in the world.

Music:

  • The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us by Beach Slang – The debut full-length release for the Pennsylvania punk band led by James Alex includes JP Flexner of Nona and Ex-Friends, Ed McNulty of Nona and Crybaby, and Ruben Gallego.
  • Many Moons by Martin Courtney – The debut full-length solo release for the Real Estate frontman was produced by Woods’ Jarvis Taveniere.

  • The Gift – Blu/DVD – A seemingly happy and successful couple more into a lovely suburban home. Everything seems grand until a childhood friend shows up at the door bearing a gift. Innocent seeming events quickly turn sinister as questions about the true nature of the husband grow.
  • Pixles – Blu/DVD – There is life beyond the edge of our blue marble. This life has watched our video games and feels that we are a threat. This intelligence has turned our beloved gaming memories against us! Now it is up to a rag tag group oh arcade game experts to save the planet.
  • Human Centipede 3 – Blu/DVD – It seems there is no end to this awful movie series. I wonder if it’ll have a evil love child with Sharknado.
