DVD/Blu-Ray:
* How to Train Your Dragon 2 – Blu/DVD – The island of Berk became an amazing refuge for dragons and humans alike. Their lives have now become quite symbiotic. But in the five years since that fateful change, Hiccup is still looking to the horizon, looking to the world beyond this island. When he propelled beyond the known world, he finds a crew of dragon hunters, a dragon warlord, and … his mother. While the movie is a fair bit different from the first, it is a very worthy successor.
* Jersey Boys – Blu/DVD – The Four Seasons were a group that almost should not have been. Just four guys that most people would over look, but together they became one of the most recognizable sounds in American music. This film based on the successful stage show of the same name highlights the story of triumph and struggle.
* 22 Jump Street – Blu/DVD – While they survived a second round of high school can Schmit and Jenko’s partnership survive … college?! While the case is a challenge of almost equal difficulty is understanding each other as they find that the things that make them different maybe more than they can over come.
* Automata – Blu/DVD – Robots have become part of every day life, in the near future. But tampering with or manipulating a robot will definitely void its warranty. During one such investigation an insurance adjuster finds something far deeper and profound to the future of humanity.
* The Wind Rises – Blu/DVD – The final film by Hayao Miyazaki is a visual triumph. It may not be as whimsical as Spirited Away, but the artistry shown in every background and frame is astonishing. The story is about Jiro, who wants to make airplanes. And in due time creates the plane that will become the Zero Fighter. Yet all he really wants to do is make beautiful flight possible. It’s a triumph of the heart on many levels in this film. Do note that the pacing is _very_ Japanese, so don’t expect a thrill ride.
Comics:
### DC
* Multiversity Pax Americana #1 – A new story from Grant Morrison, that seeks to tell a tale of Earth 4 in a version of reverse chronology. The story features The Question, Blue Beetle, Captain Atom, Nightshade, and Peacemaker in all new likenesses.
### Marvel
* Spider-Woman #1 – An new on going series, with an opening story that touches all aspects of the Spider-Verse! This pan dimensional tale has all the Spiders in it’s cross hairs.
### Dark Horse
* Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 10 #9 – While many things in Sunnyvale have changed, many remain the same, such as it is still an attractor for demons and agents of darkness. Thankfully Buffy and crew are back for visit. So … ya know, what could possibly go wrong.
### Image
* Sinergy #1 – Jess has a bright future ahead of her! An athletic college scholarship and nothing but potential. While that’s all true, she also has a unique challenge, a … uh … personal :cough: encounter has given her the ability to see beyond this mortal plane, and she can now see the sinister forces that feed off of Sinergy – the energy released by committing sins. Needless to say, life in college just got a lot more interesting.
