In Theaters:
1. Get On Up
A chronicle of James Brown’s rise from extreme poverty to become one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
Brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.
3. The Almost Man
Henrik is 35, but he still parties with his high-school buddies like he is in his 20s. His mother cares for him like he’s still a child, and he’s in a relationship that’s based on goofing around. Now, his girlfriend Tone is pregnant and Henrik has taken a serious job, moved into a prefab duplex, and he’s trying to calm down the partying and start behaving like a father-to-be. But as he feels the pressure to mature, and to do it quickly, Henrik’s frustrations surface in unforeseen—and hilariously inappropriate—ways.

1. Hypnotic Eye – Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
The 13th studio release for Tom Petty with the Heartbreakers is said to be a return to straight up rock’n’roll and was produced by Petty, Mike Campbell, and Ryan Ulyate.
2. They Want My Soul – Spoon
The eighth studio full-length release for the indie rock band is its first with new member Alex Fischel and was produced by Joe Chicarelli and Dave Fridmann.
3. The Breeze: An Appreciation of J.J. Cale – Eric Clapton
The tribute to JJ Cale by Eric Clapton features performances by Mark Knopfler, Christine Lakeland, John Mayer, Willie Nelson, Tom Petty, Derek Trucks, and Don White.
4. Cold World – Naomi Shelton & the Gospel Queens
The second retro soul release on Daptone Recordings for the gospel/R&B singer was recorded live on eight-track tape
5. Whoop Dee Doo – The Muffs
This is the first album of new material in ten years for the garage rock trio led by Kim Shattuck (ex-Pixies bassist who replaced Kim Deal).
DVD/Blu-Ray:
1.Noah – Blu/DVD – An ordinary man has been chosen for an extraordinary task. He and his family have been chosen by God to be the seed upon which a new world will be built.
2. Finding Vivian Maier – DVD – John Maloof purchased random chest from an auction. In the chest he found a mystery, hundreds of rolls of undeveloped film. When he developed them he found an amazing collection of street/candid photography by an unknown photographer. The work as posthumously made Vivian Maier one of the greatest photographers of the 20th century. The film was a crowd funded project.
3. Legendary – DVD – A mysterious creature called Shocate, is claimed to be alive and well in the outer areas of China. It is now a race between a crytpo-zoologist and a trophy hunter to see who will be the first to find the beast!
4. The Den – DVD – For her graduate thesis a young woman decides to look into a video chat site, The Den. While logged in she witnesses a violent murder. Her fears are dismissed by the authorities (when are they ever believed, really), so she takes it upon herself to uncover the truth. But will the truth put her in the sights of the murder?

* The Sandman: Overture #3 – Morpheus walks alone with only his own mind … and madness to keep him company. Mean while the universe is beginning it’s last waltz with the armies of darkness.
### Marvel
* Guardians of the Galaxy #17 – There are some fresh faces in the Guardians! Time to take it to the galactic warlords and empire crusaders. Oh and the team building exercises have been postponed till after this adventure.
* Honorable mention to Runaways Complete Collection trade paperback.
### Dynamite
* Red Sonja #0 – Sonja returns home, from a long day of slaying and destruction, only to find her home trembling in fear of the Red Malak! This stranger also claims to be Sonja’s husband … this could get awkward.

* Low #1 – A sudden expansion of the sun has sent humanity scrambling beneath the waves. While the survivors hold on in the last two underwater cities, probes scan the galaxy looking for habitable worlds. Now many years later, one has returned, and crashed on to the surface, now an alien world to the dwellers of the depths.

* Cartoon Network Super Secret Crisis War #2 – Our heroes are trapped! Aku and his super villain friends (or should I say fiends) have gained the upper hand! But for how long?
