New Releases 1/31/13:
Movies:
www.fandango.com
DVD/Blu-ray:
1.Best of Warner Bros. 50 Film Collection – blu – 50 films for around 367 USD on Amazon.com, This is quite the collection, although as a number of people pointed out in reviews of the set, many of these films were not relaesed by Warner Bros. but were later purchased by them. Still if there are holes in your Blu-ray collection this might be a very easy way to fill them.
2.Citadel – blu – A brooding Irish thriller about an agoraphobic father who is tormented by a gang of hooded children. This same gang killed his wife and now see to be after his daughter. A chilling walk down paranonia ave and mental distress lane brings you to the Citadel.
3.Die Hard: 25 Anniversary Collection – blu – Detective John Mclaine, almost needs no introduction, and now you can get it blu-ray style. Includes the “Decoding Die Hard” bonus disk with further behind the scenes stuff. Yippie Ki Ya Mother … well you know. This will get ya primed for the new movie this year.
4.Hotel Tansylvania – blu/dvd – A hotel run by Dracula is for monsters only. But things go super screwy when one night an ordinary guy shows up and crashes Dracula’s daughter’s birthday. A heart warming family tale that has good buzz, and is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, which is freaking awesome!
5.Paranormal Activity 4 – blu/dvd – Toby has returned and um … hell’s come with him? All reviews say this is a middling movie at best. A sadly poor addition to the promising premise that made 1 & 2 such a success.
6.Seven Psychopaths – blu/dvd – The latest film from Martin McDonagh, this one featuring a star studded cast and a criminal plot that involves a Hollywood gangster’s pet Shih Tzu. The previews looked good, and the reviews on Amazon are rather positive. Plus it is hard to pass up a film with Christopher Walken.
Video Games:

Comics:
Marvel:
1.Hawkeye #7 – Even if his purple suit was dumb this love for modern Hawkeye is kinda awesome.
2.Silver Surfer #1 (TPB) – This trade collects the work that Stan Lee and Moebius share. I love Moebius’ art and he hand lettered it too!
DC:
1.Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill #1 – raised for the art of Steve Rude
2.Batman & Robin Annual #1 – If you just can’t get enough Daimyon Wayne, this issue is a must grab.
Indie:
1.Doctor Who: Prisoner of Time #1 – This story features all of the doctor’s incarnations
2.Emily and The Strangers #1 – Aparently Maceline the Vampire Queen isn’t the only girl to lead a band in comics.
3.The Sixth Gun #28 – It’s getting a show, and it’s dang good!
Web:
1.SinFest – a lively irreverent look a God, the Devil, and all of us poor saps caught in the middle
