New Releases

In Theaters:

  • The Infiltrator – Based on a true story, Federal agent Robert “Bob” Mazur (Bryan Cranston) goes deep undercover to infiltrate Pablo Escobar’s drug trafficking scene plaguing the nation in 1986 by posing as slick, money-laundering businessman Bob Musella.
  • Ghostbusters – Thirty years after the original film took the world by storm, Ghostbusters is back and fully rebooted for a new generation. Director Paul Feig combines all the paranormal fighting elements that made the original franchise so beloved with a cast of new characters, played by the funniest actors working today.
  • Cafe Society – A young man (Jesse Eisenberg) arrives in Hollywood during the 1930s hoping to work in the film industry. There, he falls in love, and finds himself swept up in the vibrant café society that defined the spirit of the age.
  • Equals – Nia and Silas (Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult) work together in a futuristic society known as “The Collective.” A seemingly utopian world, “The Collective” has ended crime and violence by genetically eliminating all human emotions. Despite this, Nia and Silas can’t help noticing a growing attraction between them, leading them to a forbidden relationship—at first tentative, but then exploding into a passionate romance.

  • Coolaid by Snoop Dogg – The 14th full-length studio release for the Long Beach rapper features guest appearances from E-40, Jazze Pha, Jeremih, October London, Suga Free, Swizz Beatz, Too $hort, Trick Trick, and Wiz Khalifa.

(Titles are available in both formats unless otherwise stated)

  • Belladonna of Sadness – While it was originally produced in 1973, this adult oriented animated feature may not have the most cohesive plot, but it is long on style, unique visuals, philisophical themes. The film does contain some sexually graphic imagery, so fair waring.
  • Everybody Wants Some – Viewed by many as the spiritual successor to Dazed and Confused this film follows a group of college baseball players during their last weekend before their fall term begins.
  • Green Room – The members of a punk band witness a brutal murder by a group of white supremacists. Now they must survive as said group turns on them. This film also has a unique little connection as it features, the late, Anton Yelchin (aka Checkov) as one of the band members and Patrick Stewart(aka Capt. Picard) as the leader of the supremacist gang.

  • DC Comics Bombshells #15 – Mera is learning that life without super powers isn’t so bad. Batwoman and Renee Montoya team up to free Jews from the concentration camps. Harley and Ivy meet Zatanna and Constantine and spark a plan for rebellion!

  • The Vision #9 – While many families have “skeletons in the closet”, for this family it’s a bit more literal. Also to keep secrets costs must be paid … this may be the ultimate cost.

Dark Horse

  • Conan the Slayer #1 – Alone in the desert, the mighty Cimmerian contemplates his end. But a group of Turanian hunters wish to speed him on his way. Might he find refuge in a Kozaki raider camp?

  • Descender#13 – The mysteries of Tesla’s past told! The universe at stake!

  • The Powerpuff Girls #1 – The City of Townsville, is very peaceful. So peaceful that the super trio has fallen out of the public eye. Which has given their arch nemesis Mojo Jojo an opportunity to put himself in the center of public spectacle, with his army of … paparazzi?
