In Theaters:

  • Almost Christmas – Almost Christmas tells the festive story of a beloved patriarch who asks his family for one gift this holiday season: to get along. If they can honor that wish and spend five days under the same roof without killing one another, it will be a Christmas miracle.
  • Arrival – When mysterious spacecraft touch down across the globe, an elite team is put together to investigate – including language expert Louise Banks (Amy Adams). Mankind teeters on the verge of global war as everyone scrambles for answers – and to find them, Banks will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.
  • Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk – Based on the widely-acclaimed, bestselling novel, the film is told from the point of view of 19-year-old private Billy Lynn (Joe Alwyn) who, along with his fellow soldiers in Bravo Squad, becomes a hero after a harrowing Iraq battle and is brought home temporarily for a victory tour. Through flashbacks, culminating at the spectacular halftime show of the Thanksgiving Day football game, the film reveals what really happened to the squad – contrasting the realities of the war with America’s perceptions.
  • Shut In -A widowed child psychologist (Naomi Watts) lives an isolated existence in rural New England. Caught in a deadly winter storm, she must find a way to rescue a young boy before he disappears forever.

  • 57th & 9th by Sting – The 12th solo release for the British rock artist was produced by Martin Kierszenbaum and is his first pop/rock album since 2003’s Sacred Love.
  • Jessica Rabbit by Sleigh Bells – The fourth full-length release for the Brooklyn duo of Alexis Krauss and Derek Miller was self-produced.
  • Simple Minds Acoustic by Simple Minds – The first acoustic album for the Scottish rock band features a guest appearances from KT Tunstall.

  • Indignation – a feature film of a Philip Roth novel, that critics seems to like. This one about a young jewish man and his clashes with his school dean and his romance of a fellow student.
  • Sausage Party – An R-rated cgi animated feature that garnered some acclaim amidst controversy about the treatment of the animators. It features a star studded cast including Kristen Wiig, Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, and numerous others.
  • Counting – A documentary about our modern life. The film moves through several international locations and tries to meld many different influences into a look at the world today.
  • Phantom Boy – Leo, due to a strange illness has the ability to leave his physical body. While in the hospital he befriends a local Police Officer who is working to bring a notorious gangster to justice. With their unique skills combined they may just save New York from plunging into chaos.
  • Tikkuneable movies coming to Blu-Ray
  • Lone Wolf and Cub – Criterion Collection release of these six classic samurai films. The story of a lost child and the Samurai that takes him in, and the powerful bond they share.

  • All-Star Batman #4 – The thrilling conclusion to “My Own Worst Enemy”! In this issue Batman is faced with taking down Two-Face on his own casino boat, filled with assassins, and is heading over the Niagra Falls. So a fairly normal day for the cape and cowl.

  • Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1 NOW – Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is keeping the streets clean of crime, along with Mary-Jane and their daughter Annie. Web slinging is a family affair? Archie Comics

  • Chimichanga: The Sorrow of the World’s Worst Face #2 – There is a new circus in town and Lula the adorable bearded girl isn’t about to let her throne go with out a fight.

  • Violent Love#1_ – Pulp action, adventure, and romance with the two of the most notorious bank robbers in the SouthWest, Daisy Jane and Rock Bradley.

IDW

  • Batman/TMNT Adventures #1 – Villains from Batman: The Animated Series Arkham are disappearing. The investigation leads Batman to the New York of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Archie Comics

  • Betty & Veronica #2 – Best friends of New Riverdale are now enemies. Their new found rivalry reaches new heights in this issue done by Adam Hughes
